He commenced his legal career in Gore where he worked for seven years undertaking a broad variety of work before commencing his employment at Cameron & Company in 1997. Chris became a partner in 2008.

His areas of work include all aspects of Family Law including all care of children issues, guardianship issues, relocation, paternity, adoption, relationship property, domestic violence. He also undertakes work in connection with the buying and selling residential properties. Chris also acts as lawyer for children.

Chris is a member of the Family Law Section and is currently on the Family Law Committee of the Canterbury-Westland Branch of the New Zealand Law Society.

Chris is married to Justine with three children and two stepchildren. He is on the Board of Trustees at Our Lady of Victories School. He enjoys spending time with his family, horse racing, pub quizzes and travel.
