Craig was admitted in 2002 after completing his BA, BA (Hons), and LLB at the University of Canterbury and his Dip Tchg at the Christchurch College of Education.

He commenced his legal career in Oamaru where he worked for three and a half years before travelling to the UK. During his three years in the United Kingdom, Craig was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Craig commenced his employment at Cameron & Company on his return to New Zealand in 2009.

His areas of work include all aspects of Family Law including care of children, guardianship issues, paternity, relationship property, domestic violence, civil litigation, divorces, relocation, child support, adoption and applications under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act.

He is a member of the Family Law Section.

Craig enjoys classical music (both listening and performing), photography and British television.
