Michael joined the firm, as it was then know as Brockett Cameron in late 1973 after completing his LLB at the University of Canterbury.
After a broad general practice involving litigation experience, Michael has concentrated on commercial, property, business, trusts, estates and estate planning.
Michael has been active in Law Society work. He served on the District Legal Aid Committee and was Convener for several years. He currently chairs a Standards Committee of the New Zealand Law Society. Michael was chair of the combined NZLS and Law Asia International Law conference in 2001.
In addition to life membership of Roundtable New Zealand, Michael has been active in a number of community groups, not for profit organisations and school boards.
He and his wife Rosemary have three adult children and currently 3 grandchildren.
